Boris Johnson is expected to hold a press conference next Monday (February 22nd) to announce details on what the government is calling the ‘roadmap out of lockdown.’
People around the UK are eagerly anticipating the Prime Ministers announcement and hope he will offer some potential dates for the reopening of schools, non-essential shops and the hospitality industry.
So far, a potential reopening date of March 8th has been given for schools, but the public will have to wait until next week to find out the finer details and whether this is actually going to happen. Non-essential shops, services and hospitality venues are still waiting on plans for their industries.
To date, over 15 million people in the UK have received at least one dose of a coronavirus vaccine. It’s the biggest inoculation programme the UK has ever launched and will eventually allow us to go back to living restriction free.
Complete normality could be a way off yet though, and in the meantime the government are reiterating the three golden rules - wash hands regularly, keep social distance and wear a face covering.
For people going back to work in places such as the hospitality sector, or for higher education students preparing to return to face-to-face lessons, wearing a face shield visor with a mask can offer extra protection. Unlike masks, the SheffShield full face shield visor covers the eyes and provides a physical barrier which helps stop wearers touching their face.
SheffShield is gearing up for when restrictions start to ease and is ready to help people return to work and higher education. To find out more about the benefits of the robust and comfortable SheffShield full face shield visor click here or to order click here.
