PPE prices set to increase as zero VAT on PPE comes to an end

Updated: Nov 4, 2020

Earlier this year the UK Government temporarily changed the VAT rating on PPE equipment from 20% to zero rate. This VAT relief was introduced to lessen the tax burden on companies and individuals purchasing PPE in the fight against Coronavirus. The measure was particularly aimed at healthcare and residential care sectors but everyone was able to benefit.

The VAT relief is coming to an end on 31st October 2020 and as a result of this we have seen a recent increase in sales. In anticipation of the change in VAT we increased our production and stock holding to ensure we are able to meet all the orders that are placed. In order to avoid the price increase on the 1st November we urge you to purchase before this date.
