Lockdown Looms

Following today’s Prime Minister’s Questions, MPs will vote in the House of Commons on the introduction of a month-long lockdown from tomorrow (Thursday 5th November.) Despite backlash from some Conservative MPs, Labour is backing the new restrictions and the Government is expected to win the vote following a three-hour debate this afternoon.

If approved, pubs, bars, restaurants and non-essential shops will close across England from tomorrow (Thursday November 5th) and people will be told to stay at home and only leave for a few limited reasons.

As lockdown looms, shopping centres and high streets across the country today are seeing shoppers rush to stock up on non-essentials they won’t have easy access to for at least the next month.
